helicopters were embarked in HMAS Melbourne (7 aircraft) and HMAS
Stalwart (1 aircraft) which sailed from Sydney on 26 and 27 December
respectively. Source 38 states that Stalwart sailed with two Wessex.
Wessex N2-208 visited BNE on 23JAN75 having flown over from HMAS Melbourne
which was off the coast returning from Darwin.(Source: 7) "Helicopter 24" was embarked in Stalwart on her return passage from Darwin. This is presumed to have been N7-224 as N7-214 was damaged in NOV74. (Source) |
